Phil uses four SPL Channel One.
"I'm
using my Channel One for a few years now. In fact each instrument is recorded
with them. Vocals get exactly the presence you wish to achieve. The Channel
One is also very easy in use. The De-Esser works perfectly, I use it already
during recording – all choir and lead vocals sound soft and round.
The compressor is doing a stunning musical job, and with the tube the
overall sound is warm and fat. Horns are already that thick on tape, you
don't need further compression afterwards in most cases.
The Channel One also shines with percussion – fat congas, crispy
bongos. I also use the EQ during recording which eases the pain in mixing
a lot. And if I do remixes, nearly every track goes through my SPLs again.

Phil Kullmann presents “RAW ARTISTIC SOUL - What About Love”.
Phil, mastermind behind RAW ARTISTIC, is a young producer, remixer and
live artist. With his inventive production style and tasteful feel for
different musical forms, he mixes Latin, House, Dance, Disco, Afro Beat,
Funk, Dub, Reggae and Jazz into his "One Cultural Groove ".
Playing several instruments - percussion, drums, bass, keys, having an
enormous knowledge of afro cuban, brasilian and african music, he creates
his own "Vibrant Dance Beat". Programming drums since he was
nine years old, he soon learned to mix electronic music and programmings
with live instruments. Always working with other musicians from all different
cultures he openes his mind for the whole world out there making music.
