"We used the SPL ATMOS 5.1 system on the drums for the Westernhagen "In Den Wahnsinn" album. The image we captured contributed enormously to the surround mix, as well as making great room sounds for the stereo.
We used Kultubes for a lot of submix compression during the mix. We loved the sounds the guitars made when we turned up the tube harmonics!
And I've had great results using the Channel One, especially for on-site vocal recording for the new Eva Keretic record. The little built-in submixer was perfect for doing vocal work--we just dialed the backing track in behind the singer; it saved us a whole mixer's worth of desk space!"
